Rig Move – Drilling & Workover
We deliver comprehensive rig move solutions for drilling and workover operations across onshore oil and gas fields. From the first bolt removed to the final system test at the new location — we manage every phase with precision, safety, and speed to keep your operations running with zero compromise.
Service Overview
Rig relocation is one of the most critical and complex operations in the oilfield. It demands careful planning, skilled manpower, specialized equipment, and strict adherence to safety standards. Our team brings years of field-proven experience to ensure every move is executed on time, on budget, and incident-free.
Detailed Scope of Services
1. Rig Down (Disassembly & Dismantling)
Our certified crews perform a systematic and controlled disassembly of the entire rig, ensuring every component is properly tagged, documented, and secured.
Scope includes:
- Disassembly of the mast/derrick, substructure, and crown block
- Disconnection of mud system (pumps, tanks, shale shakers, degasser)
- Removal of BOP stack and well control equipment
- Disconnection of power generation units and SCR/VFD systems
- Dismantling of pipe racks, catwalks, and pipe handling equipment
- Electrical wiring and instrumentation disconnection
- Labeling and inventory of all components for traceability
- Photographic documentation at every stage
2. Load-Out & Heavy Transportation
We mobilize a full fleet of specialized heavy-haul vehicles to transport all rig components safely between locations.
Scope includes:
- Load planning and weight distribution analysis
- Securing all loads with certified rigging and tie-down equipment
- Deployment of lowbed trailers, flatbeds, and multi-axle carriers
- Crane operations for heavy lifts (mast sections, BOP, draw works)
- Route survey and road assessment prior to the move
- Pilot/escort vehicles for oversized loads
- Real-time GPS tracking of all transport units
- Coordination with local authorities for road permits and clearances
3. Rig Up (Assembly & Commissioning)
At the new well location, our team executes a complete rig-up operation — from foundation setting to full commissioning and handover.
Scope includes:
- Site preparation verification and foundation alignment checks
- Assembly of substructure, mast/derrick, and crown block
- Installation of draw works, rotary table, and top drive system
- Mud system hookup (pumps, tanks, manifolds, solids control)
- BOP installation, pressure testing, and function testing
- Power system connection and load testing (generators, SCR/VFD)
- Installation of safety systems (H₂S detection, fire suppression, ESD)
- Pipe handling equipment setup (catwalks, iron roughneck, pipe racks)
- Full pre-spud inspection and operational readiness checklist
- Final commissioning and handover to the drilling/workover team
4. Workover Rig Mobilization & Setup
We provide end-to-end mobilization services for workover rigs to support well intervention and rehabilitation programs.
