OSHA states that employers must make sure employees have and use safe tools and equipment and that this equipment is properly maintained. OSHA also requires that unsafe machinery, tools, materials, or equipment must not be used and should be removed from service, tagged, or locked out when not in compliance. 

Our approach to equipment readiness begins before work starts. We focus on confirming that the equipment assigned to the task is appropriate for the job, suitable for the operating conditions, and prepared to perform safely and effectively. This includes attention to inspection status, serviceability, operational condition, and the availability of the necessary supporting items, accessories, and safety features required for proper execution. ISO guidance on quality management emphasizes that organizations should determine and provide the resources and infrastructure needed for effective operation, and maintain processes for managing production equipment and infrastructure, including preventive maintenance and asset management. 

At Tameer Al-Janoob Co, equipment readiness includes routine checks of vehicles, tools, machinery, and operational assets before mobilization and during use where required. We aim to reduce unplanned interruptions, improve field reliability, and support safer work by ensuring that equipment is in a suitable condition for deployment. Where equipment is found to be unsafe, unsuitable, or not ready for use, it should be withheld from operation until the necessary corrective action is taken. OSHA requires that only employees qualified by training or experience operate equipment and machinery, and that unsafe equipment not be permitted in use.

Properly prepared and maintained equipment helps reduce operational risk, supports better control during execution, and improves confidence in the services delivered to the client.
